Maison de Rose Cafe

Maison de Rose reinterprets the romantic café experience through a contemporary and refined design language. Conceived by XO Atelier, the project transforms traditional notions of romance into a sophisticated hospitality destination where elegance, light, and materiality create a memorable guest experience.

The interior balances soft femininity with architectural clarity. A palette of blush, peach, and warm neutral tones is paired with terrazzo flooring, copper accents, and textured surfaces, creating an atmosphere that feels both inviting and contemporary. Rather than relying on decorative excess, the design focuses on carefully curated details, allowing the space to feel elegant, fresh, and timeless.

A defining feature of the project is the seamless connection between the interior and exterior. Full-height glazing opens the café towards Boxpark, while ombré sheer curtains soften the transition between inside and outside, filtering natural light and enhancing the warm colour palette. Above the bar, a sculptural chandelier by DCW Éditions acts as the visual centrepiece of the space, complemented by carefully integrated architectural lighting that creates depth, warmth, and atmosphere throughout the day.

Every element, from the bespoke glass features and copper detailing to the curated furniture and lighting, was selected to support a contemporary interpretation of romance. The result is a café that feels intimate yet open, playful yet sophisticated—a destination where design, atmosphere, and hospitality come together to create a uniquely modern experience.
