Blackout Coffee Shop

Blackout Café is conceived as an immersive spatial experience where architecture, light, and graphic expression merge into a bold and contemporary hospitality destination. Inspired by the idea of a “blackout,” the design explores the contrast between darkness and illumination, creating a space that feels both dramatic and refined.

The open-plan layout is organized around a striking central coffee bar, crafted from expressive black-and-white marble and accented with polished gunmetal steel. Acting as the heart of the café, the bar anchors the guest journey while maintaining uninterrupted views across the space. Overhead, bespoke linear lighting installations and graphic ceiling panels featuring fragmented text create a dynamic visual rhythm, reinforcing the project’s identity and transforming the ceiling into a fifth architectural façade.

A restrained palette of black, white, steel, and textured plaster establishes a clean and minimal backdrop, while soft fabrics, leather upholstery, and full-height curtains introduce warmth and comfort. The furniture selection follows the same contemporary design language, balancing sculptural simplicity with functionality.
