Vera Dieckmann is the Founder and Creative Director of XO Atelier, a Dubai-based interior architecture and design studio recognized for its refined, atmospheric, and highly curated approach to hospitality, retail, residential, and commercial environments.

A graduate engineer of architecture from Germany, Vera's international career spans more than 28 years across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. Early in her career, she gained valuable experience with renowned design practices including David Ling Architects in New York and Matteo Thun Studio in Milan, shaping her multidisciplinary understanding of architecture, interiors, and product design.

Her global expertise was further strengthened through senior leadership positions with leading international hospitality groups, including FRHI Hotels & Resorts (now ACCOR) and Marriott International, where she served as Design Director overseeing luxury hospitality developments across Europe, Eastern Europe, and international markets.

Today, Vera leads XO Atelier with a philosophy centered on atmosphere, emotion, and timeless design. Her work focuses on creating spaces that evoke a strong sense of place through carefully considered architecture, materiality, light, and proportion. Under her leadership, XO Atelier has become recognized for delivering sophisticated, minimal environments that balance functionality with a distinctive emotional experience.

Vera was named to the Architectural Digest AD50 in 2021 and AD100 Middle East & Africa 2025 list and continues to shape award-winning projects across hospitality, retail, wellness, and residential sectors worldwide.
